ABOUT TARA GREENWAY
Tara Greenway is a mind/body practitioner and teacher with a private practice in Manhattan. She has had the privilege of receiving training in both the modalities she practices from the founder of each technique: Vianna Stibal for Theta Healing, and Kandis Blakely for New Decision Therapy. Tara has been practicing mind/body therapy since 2004 and is now also a certified Theta Healing teacher and lecturer.
Tara is also an interfaith minister licensed in New York State, and a writer whose first play, Missionary Position (a one-woman show addressing spirituality and sexuality, written in collaboration with Ariane Brandt), was produced off-Broadway in 1999. She is currently working on a book about the relationship between spirituality, sexuality and chronic pain. Tara has through alternative techniques overcome two supposedly chronic pain conditions.
Tara is also an AEA/SAG/AFTRA actress who has appeared off-Broadway, on television, and in film. She has worked with children for many years in several capacities: she worked with inner-city teenagers at the “I Have A Dream” Foundation, directed the Drama Youth Program for the off-Broadway Lamb’s Theatre, and volunteered with elementary-age children in the New York City public schools, as well as with grieving kids at The Healing Center of Long Island College Hospital.
Tara was a founding board member of Healing Arts Haven, a non-profit organization that uses the arts to raise life energy, and is a charter member of MBSConnect, an organization that connects Fortune 500 companies with health practitioners/speakers. She presently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Brooklyn Friends School.
